Ronald B. Tobias Ronald B. Tobias is the Discovery Professor of Science and Natural History Filmmaking and the Founding Director of the world’s first degree program in Science and Natural History Filmmaking at Montana State University. The graduate program teaches scientists and engineers to become filmmakers in order to improve the public under-standing of science and close the gap between science, art, and the media. Ronald has produced over forty films for broadcast internationally, including The Discovery Channel, the Travel Channel, Animal Planet, National Geographic, PBS, TV-4 (Sweden), Pro-Sieben (Germany), and TBS (Japan). He is a National Fellow with The Explorer’s Club, a former board member of Filmmakers for Conservation, and the co-founder of TERRA: THE NATURE OF OUR WORLD, one of the largest and most successful science websites in the world. He is the author of five books and has just completed a book America’s Moral Vision of Nature: Theodore Roosevelt to Walt Disney. Ronald lives in Bozeman, Montana, with his wife, Franke. |
